Old Faithful Geyser
The guys were not real excited about this trip, but we made the journey anyway.  There's not much to do there but wait for the geyser to erupt.  The staff tell you that it erupts about every 40 minutes but it's actually about every 10 minutes.  The country side is beautiful and as always the drive there was very scenic (right through Napa Valley).  There is also Tennessee Fainting Goats which we were able to feed and kept the guys occupied for a bit. (Although we never saw one faint).

Information taken from pamphlet provided at the park:
State Routes 29 and 128 lead to Old Faithful of CA on Tubbs Lane on the north side of Calistoga.  You may visit the geyser any day of the year.  The Park, with a nice picnic area opens at 9 a.m. and a charge is made for admission. Entrance to Old Faithful Geyser of California is at 1299 Tubbs Lane, Calistoga, CA 94515 Telephone 707-942-6463
The water is 350 degrees hot and shoots approximately 60 feet into the air for a period of three or four minutes, then recedes. Barometric pressure, the moon, the tides and the earth's tectonic stresses determine the height the geyser shoots and time between eruptions.
