Pigeon Point Lighthouse and Beach

Information from the Pacific Coast Lighthouse Publication:
Pigeon Point - Pescadero 1872:
Named after Clipper ship "Carrier Pigeon" which came on the point 20 years earlier.  The 115-foot tower is one of three built in the 1870's, such as Piedras Blancas and Point Arena.
