Point Montara Lighthouse

Information taken from Pacific Coast Lighthouse publication:

Point Montara - 1912
Located 25-miles south of San Francisco. The lighthouse received a fog signal in 1872.  The existing 30-foot cast iron tower with a 4th order Fresnel lens was built in 1928.

I enjoyed this trip very much.  After photographing the lighthouse, I sat on the cliff and listened to the waves. Just a beautiful place to enjoy the day.  Just up the road a bit is the Fitzgerald Marine Reserve.  There you can walk along the tide pool.  I happened upon a lot of Harbor Seals.  It was a total surprise for me and a great treat.
