Redding & Mt Shasta

Our overnight trip to Redding and Mt Shasta was strictly a waterfall mission.  We hoped to see 5 or 6 falls but only saw 3.  We tend to "piddle" on our trips.  We took the dogs and the birds with us this time.  This was the first trip for Lucy and Tweety.  They did just fine.

If you plan on seeing all of the waterfalls you need at least a couple of days and need to start early.  We wanted to explore Mt. Shasta a little more closely too but alas ran out of time.

If you are in Dunsmuir, be sure to stop at Lynnie's Bakery Cafe at 5345 Dunsmuir Ave, Dunsmuir, CA 530-235-4258
They are open Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday & Friday from 11:00am to 5:00pm and closed on Thursday, Saturday and Sunday.

We were starving after seeing Burney Falls and wanted to get something to eat before we explored Mossbrae Falls.  Lynnie's had just closed but Lynnie was kind enough to make us three sandwiches to go.  We were so grateful to her.
